Themes

I would love to have a theme for my wedding. However, I am stuck on a theme and would like ideas or pictures of your theme or potential theme.

Theme ideas are endless. So if you want to go that route, then you would typically select something that is meaningful to you and your FH. Or possibly your venue will help guide you toward a theme.

It helps to think of things you enjoy doing? Hobbies? Certain colors? Movies you love? Cities/countries you enjoy visiting? The theme can be absolutely anything. You can have a certain flower that you use over and over throughout... or a certain pattern (ie. Stripes)... maybe a specific era (20s? 50s?). Again, it’s endless. I can literally think of a theme (and how to execute it) for almost everything out there. Happy planning 😉

Inspired by my colors (navy blue, gold, and silver) our theme took a "night sky" route!

If you want to do a theme, I would pick something meaningful to you. I also wouldn't go overboard as too many things can make it look more like a child's birthday party. Subtle is definitely better. For our wedding, we incorporated some things both of us love. I love converses so I worn white converses that were decorated with gemstones and had bride written on one side and our wedding date on the other. I worn them for the ceremony, reception and after party. My husband had a black pair that had groom written on one side and our wedding date on the other. He worn them for the reception and after party. My husband is also a huge fan of NJ Devil's (hockey) and Baltimore Orioles (baseball). Our wedding colors were red and black which are the Devil's colors. I thought they were perfect colors because I wanted red roses for my centerpieces and bouquets. Our guestbook was two jerseys: a Devil's one and an Oriole's one. We also had escort cards that looked like hockey/baseball tickets. I am also a girly girl and love glitter so the table cloth on our table for our sand ceremony was black glitter and our sweetheart table was silver glitter since sliver was one of our accent colors. We also had glittery table numbers.

Stuff you like. Both FH and I are really nerdy and love synthwave (most of our music will be that genre) Our theme is kind of rustic nerdy. which combines our love of all our fandoms with my love for the outdoors. Our venue looks like Winterfell lite, in a space they call the stone room where they will open iron doors when I walk down the aisle. When you look out of the windows its nothing but heavy trees/redwoods. Girls bouquets will be based off Sailor moon, guys boutonniere will be based of Star trek.

Our "Guestbook" will be wood circles dropped in a shadow box we can eventually hang up in the house.

It doesn't need to be drastic it is easy to do a subtle or very pronounced theme.

Hi Smiley smile we did a Disney Christmas theme for our wedding. Here are some pics. Themes can be anything really! Is there anything that both you and your fh enjoy or do together? We chose Disney Christmas because I have Always wanted a Christmas time wedding and we both love Disney. It’s where we were engaged. Themes 1

Our destination wedding had a Disney Pirates theme! The reception was in a Napa wine cave.
