Lmao whoops 2018!! Having issues with my FMIL and FFIL to go to the venue as my FH is in recovery from a surgery.. so wanted to just ask to see if I should remove the Rockleigh from my thoughts completely

I'm genuinely curious - how do you even know 700 people? I would have a hard time thinking of 200 people I would want to invite to my wedding...

Yes I know lol my FMIL’s family is very very large, she refuses to not invite her WHOLE family, where my FFIL’s family as well as my family barely make 200/250. However they are paying for most of the wedding and fortunately are able to to do so if the price is right that is.. we are hoping to spend about $120,000 for the venue only I’m just not sure of any great venues that accommodate that many people and will not charge an arm and a leg lol. And believe me, I would love nothing more than a wedding of only (yes only lol) 300, it’s just not going to happen for me

We have very large families and traditionally we invite all relatives with no one excluded. This number is pretty typical for us, again not like I want it. But a normal party at home for my in laws include 100+ people lol

Come to Long Island. My friend is having her wedding of 450 guests at Crest Hollow in September for about $80pp including fees on a Sunday daytime wedding.

HOLY SHIT! I barely had enough time to say hi and thanks to 65 guests during our 3 hour reception. I can't imagine greeting 700! Good luck! I can't wait to see your BAM!

Yea and Crest Hollow is beautiful! When I was searching for a venue, I also looked at Terrace on the Park in Queens which has a daytime wedding menu of roughly $90pp + tax + fees that even includes a raw bar! If I remember correctly they had these two ballrooms where you could open up the dividing wall to make one big ballroom to fit 800 people. Keep us updated when you find out actual quotes from the Rockleigh!!

Yes terrace on the park was an option for us as well, I just secretly only want Rockleigh so haven’t made any phone calls yet lolol but I’ll get on that this week. Thank you both Mrs. Fall bride and Miss. Spring bride! I’ll keep posted when we get a quote, we’re scheduling an appointment for next week and hoping FH can come as well, just can’t stop thinking about finding a venue as we’re cutting it close already.
