The preacher

Rachel, on August 31, 2019 at 4:20 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 4
My fiancé are having a preacher for our ceremony. The preacher has worked with my fiancé with the fire department. The preacher has said that he doesn’t want any money for his services. Since he is adamant about the no money. I feel like we should make a contribution to the church. My question is how much should we contribute? We are not members of his church and our ceremony will have about 70 people.

We did that too. Our Pastor worked with my mom and wouldn't accept payment so we donated $200 to the church and gave him a personalized gift from etsy.

A $200 donation and a restaurant gift card would be great!

A donation to the church sounds great. Any amount would work if $200 is going to stretch the budget. Since your fiancé knows him from work, maybe he knows his hobbies or could find out what he likes to do in his spare time. A gift card to go golfing, baseball tickets or something that he really enjoys would also be a thoughtful and personalized gift.

Hey Rachel! A contribution to his church and a gift sounds absolutely perfect for your officiant. Does your FH know what he is interested in so you can buy a thoughtful gift?
