This is my first time posting in here, which I mostly just read and not post. I decided to post because I’ve been seeing a lot of COVID related weddings and it has been worrying a lot of brides of course. I will be a COVID bride myself in March! That being said, I have no fear or doubts that the day will go well. I have prayed and blessings have came to help us from our families. Whoever comes or doesn’t, the day will still go as planned! We kept it small anyways, but if a couple of loved ones doesn’t come still just enjoy it! Life happens, but it makes us stronger to adapt. Prayer helps! Don’t let this pandemic stand in your way! Through Christ all things are possible! Just pray and ask. All this rescheduling until 2022, it’s like what’s the point? What is really important? The 1 day wedding or a lifetime of marriage? Me and my fiancé agreed on even without a wedding, we would still get married because that’s important to us. I know it hurts if some loved ones doesn’t come, there is always a way! They can be there virtually or just plan something later. No point of waiting years of being engaged, enjoy being married and living as one! I’m looking forward to marrying the love of my life regardless of the pandemic!😁 Just think positive, have faith, & find hope! It helps a lot to not being stressed out.

I think as long as the people at your wedding are safe and protecting each other by wearing masks, then it’s okay. But please make sure to take all necessary precautions. There was recently an article about a wedding where the groom knowingly had covid at his wedding and the photographer caught it, who then had to be isolated from her family, cancel her other appointments, and was still recovering. Based on everything I’ve read and heard from people who know WAY more than me, gatherings will still need to wear masks and avoid contact until there’s a significant amount of the population vaccinated. I hope everything works out for all 2021 brides, whether it ends up being a wedding without a reception party, postponing all together, or a miracle happens and we get enough doses of the vaccine by February. 💚

I completely agree! It took me a while to get to this point and same realization but like you said through prayer and focusing on what is truly important, my fiancé and I have agreed to get married regardless of who can come and who can’t. We are just so ready and so excited to start our lives together, after so many years of waiting for the “right moment” to do things. You often find that you’re stuck just waiting. The last thing we want to do anymore is wait for the right moment because it doesn’t exist. There will always be something to come up. That’s just life. It’s messy and unpredictable, and you have to do the things you want while and when you can. By figuring out how we can to our best ability host a safe and still fun wedding it’s definitely helped with the anxiety. Cutting the guest list and getting personalized masks for our guest and ourselves, buying sanitizers and masks holder and working on a household seating chart has been our focus. By taking control we feel more in control. I hope your post can bring ease to our 2021 brides. I appreciate you for posting this!

That’s right! My point, waiting for the unknown isn’t worth it to me either🙂 I like how you mentioned personalized masks and seating arrangements for households! Keep it small & personalize it, like it!😉
