    @FMW- I recently got a wedding invite in the mail. When I opened it, like 4 registty cards fell out....and ya, that is exactly what I thought...."oh em gee"

    @ Analy... thanks for saying that... I didn't think about that... I will be registered at 3 places... I don't want to put 3 of those "cute little cards" in any invite...including shower... I guess word of mouth it is then...and website

    No need to be combattive, Sarah. Generally speaking, before wedding websites, word of mouth sufficed. I did not have any showers, nor did I send registry info, and I think about 2 people used my site. However, people still found my registry just fine. But, to each his own. If you are comfortable with that, and it works for you, that's great. Each situation is different, and these are general "rules" of Etiquette.

    We are enclosing the registry info on a little business size card with the invitations, for my sisters we had included it on the reception invitation but not the ceremony invite. But every invite I have seen has done something different. gone is tradition hello originality. Smiley smile
