The LAST engagement ring. Finally.

FutureMrsAF, on March 15, 2017 at 5:10 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 15

So, I've had 3 engagement rings. My first one was a Claddagh ring, and was intended to be a placeholder ring as FH didn't have time to get the custom one that he wanted made before our trip to Paris, which is where he wanted to propose.

Then, my mom offered to give me my grandma's engagement ring, which I love - but it ended up needing quite a few repairs, which we needed to wait on and I still plan on restoring it.

NOW, we got a different and final one, I've been obsessed with morganite and almost demanded it, FH said "no, you are getting a diamond", so it took some convincing, but we finally ordered it and I got it today! 1.2 carat equivalent set in white gold with the halo Smiley smile

Show me your morganites/gemstones! I'm loving it today.

That is gorgeous! I am on my second engagement ring. I can understand the pain. My first ring was amazing but I had stones falling out all the time. So after many visits to the jewelers we decided to upgrade.

Thank you, everyone! Smiley smile @Deb, I've been so sad with having to keep switching! I just wanted one that would stay "the one" forever, haha.

@Olivia, I LOVE moissanite - I was super on the moissanite train until I decided morganite was a little more my style as far as color went. Love yours!

I love my ring! It's rose gold with diamonds and a morganite center stone!

I got a morganite and sometimes wish I had moissanite or diamond. I LOVE the color but it gets so cloudy easily Smiley sad I dont have a picture on this computer or I would post one, but I wanted to say how pretty your rings are!!

Once I saw morganite, I knew I wanted it. Here's mine. Still some diamonds on there too

I wanted an emerald ring because it's my favorite color and birthstone. It looks almost blue in the pic because of the lighting, but I'm obsessed with it.

I always loved amethyst in rings its always gorgeous to me. I told my fiancé (before he proposed of course) that's what I wanted and I think he knocked it out of the park ( I wanted to show the set ) he did an amazing job with both Smiley smile

@vanessa, I'm hoping the morganite will hold up with regular cleanings. nervous about it's "softness" though. I don't want it to break, though if it does, luckily morganite stones aren't too expensive so I can replace it if needed.

@Lisa and @Amber, I love your gems Smiley smile Prior to settling on morganite I was interested in either a garnet or prasiolite, but since I had been itching for a morganite for awhile now I went with that just because I didn't want to regret it later Smiley smile
