The Knot rsvp Website

Megan, on June 10, 2018 at 7:50 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
Is anyone else having major difficulties with the knot’s version of RSVP? It seems as though if someone puts their name in slightly different than you added them as it won’t find the guest. Are there alternatives? Or if I’ve purchased a hosted site name but through the knot can that be converted to another website like Zola or WW?

I have no advice for this but I can say that I've had the same problem with FHs friend's wedding on the Knot. They put him in as Brayn instead of Bryan and I was only able to RVSP because I could also search for my name. Not sure if there's a better way to go about it unfortunately.

This sounds more like problem with misspelled names than the knot. I haven't had any problems, but I made sure to spell my guests names properly.

    That's my only advice.

We are currently using it and love it. We have run into some people not being able to RSVP, but that’s because we made a spelling error. They contacted us and we corrected it immediately. I would rather it be specific, than let any and everyone RSVP who wasn’t invited!

I used the Knot's RSVP function on our wedding website. On our STDs and wedding invitations, I addressed them using the guests' full formal name (e.g. Joshua vs Josh). I, too, worried that guests wouldn't be able to find their name if entering it on the website so I entered both names, Josh X and Joshua X. That way, the guest can find their name using either spelling.

I put the names in as what my guests go by. For example my MOH is Becky and I put Becky instead of Rebecca because I figured that’s what she would put. I also didn’t put any titles. I also did households so that when one person from the household RSVPs, it prompts them to RSVP for the whole household.
