The Hospitality suite Mandalay bay Las Vegas

Ash, on March 27, 2016 at 1:26 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

OK so this is something that I have been racking my brain with and damn near going crazy I live in California and I am not trying to go or arrive all the way in Las Vegas to either A) have our reception shut down or B) If they find out that we have outside food we will get denied being able to bring our food in. Even if we brought in the food ourselves I don't know???????..... and also we will be providing our own liquor because their prices are ridiculous and we plan on having about 50 to 60 people and I only want the hospitality suite I am going to however get the conjoining bedroom so my plan was to book the hospitality suite with conjoining room for my wedding next March 2017 and then if they ask about the catering Ill just tell them that I don't really know...... "I have my own cake and I'm just using it just for cake" Or I can just buy a cheap item? that's pretty much it. I don't know and it's like how would they know what's in my bag what's in my suitcase I just don't understan

This is Vegas, they know. Just book a suite that has multiple bedrooms. Usually they have a dining area. My coworker did this for her wedding and brought party trays in and her own alcohol at Mandalay Bay.

So are you saying you are booking joining rooms, to set up food you bring from outside, so during the reception your guests will go to the bedroom and eat food?

You need to call them. That's the only way you will get the answers you want. At my former hotel, if you booked the hospitality suite, you had to have in house catering if you did catering. It was fine to order in lunch or something but you were not allowed to have an outside vendor providing food service . I could see them allowing you to bring your own liquor.

    Edited for clarity

Book the Vista suite. If you google it, you can find lots of info about brides having their wedding there. Apparently it's very easy to have your own food catered and bring it up there, and the suite can fit a lot of people. We're doing our ceremony in a wraparound terrace suite at the Cosmopolitan. We won't be bringing food in since we booked dinner at Wicked Spoon buffet, but we will be bringing in our own alcohol. I don't really think it will be a problem.

Like I said, if you google it you will find lots of posts about brides who had their weddings at MB and were able to bring in their own food and alcohol with no problems

Hi Ash...I've been trying to figure out the same thing. We love the idea of an in-suite reception and have googled the issue a bunch. But, a lot of the responses I find are from a few years ago. Makes me nervous! Please let me know what you find!
