The Grooms Tuxedo: Match With The Guys or Stand With The Bride?

FH has decided to wear a black suit like his groomsmen but the accessories will be different. I’m excited to see how he looks.

Our colors are burgundy, navy blue and dust rose pink. My future husband wants his groomsmen in navy blue and he wants to wear a burgundy tux. Which I’m totally okay with. I feel like the groom should stand out too, and I want to make him happy just like he makes me happy. I’m looking forward to it and think it will look good together.

I think it looks great that you’re both in white! My FH hasn’t given much input about what he wants to wear yet, other than he wants a “James Bond look.”

Neither. He will be in a darker grey than his groomsmen

My fiancé will be the only one wearing a suit jacket so he stands out. The rest will wear just shirts, ties, and pants.

My husband wore a different tux than his guys but didn’t match me either.

My husband and I considered that look for the groomsmen but decided to have the jackets so the two of us would stand out in our white.

I love the color he has on.

My husband and his groomsmen all wore black tuxes but groomsmen wore vests and bow ties that matched the bridesmaids, and husband just wore all black and white

Mine was the only one with a suit. The other groomsmen were in suspenders so it was my way of having him stand out

Though we only had one person on each side of us we stood out together.

I love this idea! I also think choosing colors to honor family members is very sweet. My FH wants to stand out from the groomsmen though I tried telling him a suit is fine. Now he's thinking he wants a tux and he wants the groomsmen in suits, which I think may look odd. Maybe a tux but in a different color from the groomsmen would be better. Or, they all wear black but he wears a white vest instead of black. Hmm...
