That dress is stunning! I actually didn't go the traditional route of making an appointment to try on dresses. I really wanted something different, boho feel and still be elegant. I ended up trying several dresses online and found my perfect fit from an Etsy shop!

I tried on a whole bunch of dresses at my 1st appointment, and fell in love with 3, was able to narrow it down to 2 that were very different. One was a poofy ball gown with a sparkly beaded bodice, a straight neckline, and a sequined tulle skirt with no train, the other was a graceful a-line with a sweetheart neckline with lace and slight beading at the top, cascading down the skirt with a rim of lace around the edge of the skirt, and a lovely train xD. I left, and each time I looked at the pictures I liked a different one better. 6 days later, my mom and I went to another store (which was a train wreck) it was an off the rack store, and the dresses seemed to be falling apart, and every dress they brought me was way over my stated budget. We ended up going back to David's Bridal to look at dresses for her, and after we found hers we decided to peek at the wedding dresses again. I noticed this dress hanging on the rack, slightly offset from the others so it stood out. It had the super beaded bodice with the sweetheart neckline, the sequined tulle ball gown skirt, and the train. It was just about perfect. All it's missing is the detailing around the bottom, but I might ask the seamstress to add that when I go for alterations.

i never had that moment where I truly felt I found “The Dress” , no tears were shed and the whole process made me question what I liked or thought looked good in! I ended up finding my dress online and it’s the complete opposite of what I thought I would get!

I went dress shopping yesterday. It was my second appointment. I went in thinking I wasn't going to like anything on me. I don't like my body. I ended up really liking four gowns. I had trouble choosing between them! That's never a problem for me. I usually hate everything on me. Before I chose one I was then told that I might not be able to get some in time for the wedding. They checked and said I couldn't get my favorite of the four. I was bummed. Then the consultant asked the owner and they were able to get it after all!

I tried on 4 dresses at the first shop, then tried on 2 at the second shop. I'm a plus sized bride and I don't love my body either, so I felt like I was TRYING to feel beautiful. I thought maybe I wouldn't have THE moment and I was okay with that. But then the owner of that second shop said... hmm I have an idea and pulled another dress. I tried it on and it was closer to what I wanted, but when I added the belt I started bawling. I suddenly didn't feel like a fat lady being shoved into a dress...I finally felt beautiful.
