How early is ‘too’ early to start wedding dress shopping?! I’m so excited but my wedding is not until March 2022

There is not really an answer but maybe wait a year out to avoid dress regret. I got my dress a year ago and for the next 6 months I was questioning it and even ended up exchanging it. However, some brides can get a dress two years out and still love it. Depends on you.

I would start looking around a year out. Definitely look online now and start getting ideas of what you like and don't like, and then start trying on dresses about a year out, just to avoid the risk of changing your mind later once you purchase your dress. Happy dress shopping!

I agree with a year out. You definitely don’t want dress regret! Our wedding is in April & I had planned on looking this past April but COVID has other ideas. I got my dress in June & have zero regrets! Give yourself time for alterations too. Happy dress shopping!

I agree that there isn’t really a set time, but like Kristian said I’d probably hold off a little while. I got my dress in November 2019 for my March 2021 wedding. Loved the dress, was so excited about it. Still loved it when it came in about 2 months later. And then I started second guessing and I too ended up exchanging it. So now I have a new dress and about 6 months to go. Dress regret is definitely a thing.

I bought my dress May 2019 for a Nov 2020 wedding. I started looking at the end of 2018/beginning of 2019 and couldn’t find anything. The store I got my dress from you could take home same day, so no ordering or waiting! I’ve had mine this long and no regrets whatsoever! I also do my best not to look at dresses on Pinterest/photos of dresses I’ve tried on before 😂

Dresses really do not take that long to come in, I ordered my dress at the end of May and my wedding is this Nov; the dress came in the middle of Sept. But a year out is ideal, but if you happen to find a dress now, go for it!!

I definitely had second thoughts about my dress until I put it on again for my first fitting and loved it all over again. Now I just need to maintain my weight lol it's a little tight lol
