With a corset back you might be able to just tie it a little tighter/looser if it doesn’t fit perfectly.

The corset back gives the bride wiggle room opposed to the zipper back. If your weight happens to fluctuate or you gain/lose a couple pounds before the big day the corset back can more easily adjust to your new shape since it's not a standard zipper. Hope this answers your question

Hi...I prefer zippered back dresses. But thats my opinion....I always have thought corsets look trashy...always reminds me of those saloon girls in western movies.
