The Dainty Yard on Etsy

OnceUponAChambers, on March 21, 2016 at 3:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Hey y'all! I was all set on my bridesmaids dresses-found gorgeous ones via Amazon that were perfectly in our price range and everything, but they have sold out of my color! I've looked at The Dainty Yard before(for myself and the wedding) but, as with most things, I'm hesitant to order online without seeing it in person. That said, the store has over 3500 reviews and a five star rating.

Has anyone ordered from The Dainty Yard, for their wedding or otherwise? And if you did, advice on how to get the right size, how long does it take for them to ship, etc?

Thanks a million WW friends!

That is beautiful. I wish I had advice beyond messaging the seller to see what kind of a vibe you get from them.

They are in Singapore. Preferably, I'd find a store in the USA. For instance, I've been looking at the same kind of dresses at AtomAttire. They are located in NY and honestly, I'd feel better about ordering from them.

ETA: AtomAttire is another shop on Etsy.

Wine'osaurusrex (LOVE your SN!): You can request samples of the fabric and colors, so I guess I can get some of that vibe from that interaction.

Lauren, THANK YOU! I hadn't seen a US vendor with a similar product, and since the price is about the same, I will look into them as well.

Normally just a lurker but had to answer. I got my BM dresses from her! I ordered the fabric sample (5 different colors) from her and received that within a week. I then went ahead and ordered 3 dresses. I think it was less than 3 weeks for shipping. I decided on shorter dresses with the asymmetrical hems. They're really nice! I would say my girls are all about average so I ordered the standard size.

I actually ordered a dress from them as well! I was so curious and they look so beautiful I couldn't help myself lol I didn't order it for anything special but I love it!! She shipped it the same day I ordered it and she is the sweetest lady ever Smiley smile the fabric is amazing and the dresses are "infinity" dresses so you can do all kinds of styles. I would definitely recommend them!! Just because they're not in the US doesn't mean it's always bad.

ETA: @Love - you can message her and let her know you want swatches and she will create a custom listing for you so you can order them. She's super sweet and helpful!

Marcie, you're a ROCK STAR! I was hoping someone had firsthand experience with her. I've ordered swatches-so now we wait.

Love, it was REALLY easy to order the swatches: there's a link on the post which will direct you to her blog, and then it will walk you through the steps. You do need an Etsy account to order them, but you'd need that to order the dresses anyway. You can get up to five colors in your swatches, so I got the colors I'm looking at for my bridesmaids and a few for me(thinking about a "getaway" dress on my way to our honeymoon.

I would skip ordering things made in China on Etsy. Look for USA!
