  You should send a thank you for any gift that you receive. Two gifts, two thank you's. You don't need to thank people for attending your wedding, that's what the reception is for.

  Yes, I would absolutely send out another thank you note. The bridal shower and wedding are two separate events, and two separate thank you notes should be written for gifts received at both.
