Thank you gift for good friend - help me!

kaylarae, on March 1, 2015 at 8:39 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Alright so FH and I ordered personalized wedding koozies that will be part of BP gifts as well as "thank yous" for ushers, readers etc ... We will have them in gift bags with thank you cards. I also have a good friend of mine who is a total life-saver. She has offered to help with anything and everything from helping set up/take down, offering to run any last minute errands the day before/day of and also offering to help with "ceremony timing" - kind of like a DOC I guess. She is honestly the sweetest person and one of my most reliable friends. For all that she's doing, I'm not sure that the koozie and card will be enough. Should I add in another little something? Or am I completely overthinking it? Haha I know that she would not expect any type of gift, I just want her to know how much I appreciate all that she is willing to do.

I hate proposing to bridesmaids and don't like the gift idea either because it's usually stuff that will be misplaced. For this friend, I'd take her out for a nice thank you dinner sometime after the wedding. Or get her a gift card to a restaurant. I also think taking your bridal party out for dinner or drinks or pizza or something is much nicer than the personalized baubles that people tend to buy. And it makes a nice memory.

Dinner or lunch isn't an option haha they all live in Canada. The BM get in on Thursday and wedding is Saturday with rehersal dinner Friday. No time for relaxing lunch dates. And I said nothing about proposing to BM so not sure where that came from?

Maybe you can make a cute personalized label? Another idea - I made personalized tumblers for my girlfriend for helping me address invited, and I got her some cute knot earrings. I'll make a tag that says "I couldn't the the knot without you" or something.

    Here's the back-

They were cheap and easy to make! $10-$15 on Etsy, but I spent $3 each making them. Win!

That cup is cute! I have similar ones for my BMs, each with a different colored lid/straw and I got monogram vinyl stickers for them! I had to do one for myself too cause they were so darn cute haha

@springbride can you give me more info? If love to have these for the bridal party but refuse to spend $10-15 each. So we don't hijack this post, will you email me? *************@*******.*** Thanks!

Jewelry, purse, etc. whatever you would give her as a birthday or holiday gift. That is, if you choose to give a gift.
