Thailand Honeymoon

Hello, so my husband and I are planning to go to Thailand in December 2022 for our honeymoon. I was wondering if anyone went to Thailand for their honeymoon and how did you do it the cheapest way? I know with him being military there are all inclusive week stays at Thailand resorts though the Armed Forces Vacation Club but wasn’t sure if anyone used them or anyone else that was decently priced? Thanks in advance!

Depends on what you want to do. Thailand in general is an inexpensive country. If you just want to relax, then a resort with beach access is very common and affordable. For places like Koh Samui or Phuket you can find rooms for as little as $100 a night. Obviously depends on how much luxury you are looking for. If you are planning to hop around, the most expensive part would be transport. Flights are cheap, but I always factor in travel to and from airport and time.

Well, we want to go to the elephant sanctuary for sure , but also want a nice all inclusive resort preferably. Do you know if the regular economy international flights are more comfortable than economy within the states or do you recommend upgrading?

Economy seats are always better on international flights than on domestic anywhere in the world. If you can afford it, upgrade, it's a very long flight. However, we are talking about a difference of $3000+ vs $900 for economy per person.
There are very few places that offer all inclusive options. It's more customary to offer breakfast and then pay as you go. Honestly though, it really isn't that expensive and you may not want to have dinner at the hotel every night. There are also inexpensive bars all over the beaches. Some hotels offer complimentary water sports and also have deals with other hotels to use their facilities.

I would definitely upgrade flight seats if you can. I'm not sure where you live but our longest flight was about 12 hours and we were miserable. Book early for cheaper premium seats
