Full steam ahead for September 6! Our venue holds 300 but is at 150 right now. We’re hoping to be able to invite our full 300 guest list by then!

I’m not in Texas but we are moving forward in Wisconsin on August 14th. About 175 people in a space for 300, plus additional outdoor space to spread out. We already had to postpone once, and I don’t think I can handle thinking about this wedding for a whole year more. We feel good about the safety precautions in place, and if people decide they don’t want to come we are a-okay with that and completely understand. Best wishes as you continue to plan your wedding!

We're going ahead! August 15th with about 50 people if everyone feels comfortable. Our venue won't let us postpone, so we're doing what we can with what we have. Hopefully things go good for you guys!

Sept 5, 150 is the guest list. Just waiting to see what the rules will be for indoor weddings. Anything less than 100% we will not use the venue and do something quick at the beach. It's hard to be excited. I actually stopped planning.

We are still moving forward. Ours is the first week of August! I’m so nervous- I had hope with everything downtrending but now cases are increasing again. I can’t handle it if things shut down again, after all the stress! And I just mailed out my invitations... maybe we have more cases because we are testing more? Ugh.

I am feeling the same way. I was hopeful but that is starting to go away now with all this increase, especially since my wedding is in the Houston area!! AND since my fiancé came into contact with someone who tested positive by going on a bachelor party this past weekend. It’s just so risky.

How is everyone feeling about the spike in cases? I can’t go through with our wedding with less than 75% capacity, and I don’t know if I see that happening anytime soon. Smiley sad

It's looking really scary right now. Try to stay positive and make a plan B, just in case

Honestly, seeing the spike and cases and hospitalizations makes me feel irresponsible and uneasy going forward. If my venue would have let me postponed or given our money back, I would have canceled and just eloped on a beach somewhere. Feeling a little forced to go forward with something that will put my loved ones at risk.

My wedding is Nov 14 & we are still moving ahead… our venue seats 400 & we were Only planning to invite 200. With the pandemic I expect people to self-disinvite, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up between 125-175 in terms of guests. We are at the age where we are ready to begin our family and postponing is the absolute last option. I live in Texas and I am so angry at how cases are skyrocketing because people aren’t taking this seriously. Even something as easy as wearing a mask has become a political issue, and now Texans are paying the price. Either way, even if we have to dial back the wedding to 25% capacity, we plan on having it. Hell, I think we would have it even if we could only invite 50 people. The only way that I see us postponing is if there is another complete lockdown in which gatherings are limited below 50 people. At that point, we would’ve paid so much in deposits to vendors that it would be a complete waste of money to go ahead with such a small wedding.

This is exactly were we are at. Our venues max is 500 and we are at 200. So far only 125 people have done their rsvp. We are getting married in August so I REALLLY hope everyone will just stay their butts inside ! I’m also getting married in Abilene so it’s a smaller town than say Dallas or Houston so that should help some

August 1st, 2020 is our date... only a month out at this point and so much is uncertain with the numbers rising... We have 60ish guests who have RSVPed so far for the new date, 80 who have not and are waiting until the second week of July to let me know... Even my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids hasn't officially RSVPed and two of my fiance's groomsmen have dropped out. it's been pretty stressful to say the least.

Well, we were full steam ahead ... until our minister (my FH’s godfather) called today to let us know he isn’t comfortable traveling to TX due to the pandemic. His son, one of our groomsmen, has COVID & had to go to the ER last night. So, we are still getting married August 23rd but not having a huge ceremony. We are more concerned about everyone’s health and safety over our big day. We can have a big celebration next year.
Wishing you all the best! ❤️

I’m not feeling optimistic about the rise in cases. Our minister cancelled on us & so did one of our groomsmen because he has the ‘rona. Of course we aren’t mad. We are more concerned about everyone’s safety than our wedding. I feel like we need another shut down. I hope you’re hanging in there!!!
