TEXAS BRIDES! :-) Mini-moon??

Shelby Lynne, on July 24, 2015 at 8:54 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 8

My fiancé is from Wisconsin originally, so we are getting married there! (I am from north Florida/Alabama area and my family is traveling!) However, we live in southeast Texas right now as he works in the oil industry. We already have two other weddings to travel to next year plus my sister is having her baby so all of our vacation time is pretty much spoken for along with our wedding. Due to this, we are pushing the actually honeymoon off until early 2017, but we would still love to do a mini-moon! Probably a thursday-monday/tuesday. Any ideas? We are willing to travel 6-8 hours to somewhere in Texas-maybe even Louisiana? I would like something romantic, and we are outdoorsy! Thanks for any and all suggestions, y'all!! :-)

Fredericksberg! You can hike enchanted rock, stay in cabins just outside the town, and explore the small town.

I would find something in the Lake Austin area. Fredericksburg is OK for a day trip, but NOT a mini-moon.

Fredericksburg is super romantic, they have some cute cottages there.

OH! or look in Mason - super close to fredricksburg. They have a B&B called the hummingbird house and there is literally hundreds of hummingbirds, it is awesome! I went there when I was younger and still think about it! All the little towns in that area have some romantic B&Bs. Check www.homeaway.com

Fredericksburg is awesome for a romantic getaway, kae. I went there on an anniversary trip with an ex. It was wonderful! Wine tasting in town, hiking, hot tubbing under the stars in our cabin!
