Tents

Alexandria, on February 13, 2020 at 7:41 AM Posted in Planning 0 4
Hi! Did anyone rent a tent for their wedding. Which way did you go with open with poles or closed in? Thoughts on tents and how much were they...just a ballpark of price!

Thanks!

We're looking at a frame tent and the quotes we've gotten (including delivery and set up and whatnot) are around $2,800.

We have reserved a 40x60 pole tent in Sarasota Florida for around $1300 I believe but another local place wanted $1600. The costs were the same to do a frame tent however I liked the higher peaks and with a frame tent, you see the metal insides. If that bothers you, you will need to consider how much it will cost for draping the inside which can add 100s if not 1000s to the total cost. You will also need to think about lighting. I recommend googling pole vs frame tents as there are multiple articles that will list the pros and cons for both as well as some average costs.

Oh wow! thank you for that advice! that is so helpful!!! I didn’t know that’s what the draping was for! So in the standard pole tents you do not see the metal? That will probably be a better option for me cost wise. I also am having my wedding in the summer so the sides aren’t really necessary

There is no metal at the top however you do have to deal with the poles in the middle which for some people is bothersome. We are still doing $600 worth of draping inside and that is partial coverage not full coverage. You will also need to check with your venue- they might have restrictions as to which one you can do. Long story short just make sure you’re aware of ALL of the costs that go into a tent, all said and done it equals if not costs quite a bit more than a venue fee itself 😊
