tent flooring

FutureMrs.Betz, on September 11, 2013 at 3:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

I am planning on having a tent for my outdoor wedding. We are on a very low budget and I wanted to put so sort of flooding but everything I have found is too expensive any suggestions. DIY, buy, rent anything it just needs to be hard so we don't have to dance in the grass

Usually if it is at the venue it is theirs and they bought all the flooring to make it nice. I am renting and putting it in a yard. I was thinking plywood or something would that be really expebsive even more than a floor. I just want something that my guests can walk on.

We are using a tent too for our backyard wedding and we aren't doing the flooring. Grass will be just as good and FREE!!!! I will ensure all guest know it's an outdoor wedding and to either no wear heels or wedges!

Ive seen rentable dance floors on tv. not sue how much they really cost... maybe if you would be able to get a smaller one and just have that specifically for dancing and the rest grass. If you know anymore who is really talented... you maybe able to get them to get like plywood and then adhear sticky tiles (pretty cheap) trim it was some quarter round molding... then again.... not sure how easy that would be to transport or if it would even be worth the expense and effort?

You can rent flooring along with a dance floor. My reception venue doesn't have a dance floor so it will cost about $200. I also don't like the venue's floor so Im going to rent the thin green flooring to match my theme:Enchanted Forest! :-) Just check with your local party rental supplier.

Mrs. Betz, of all the tent weddings I've done I've never seen the entire thing floored. Is that what you meant? Now it is common to have a dance floor. Those run about $300 with several wedding rental places who supply them (at least in Nashville). Besides, the dance floor, it's always been grass.

Yes you can rent dance floors and actual tile floors...you just piece them together and they float on the grass.

i have seen them here at tradesehows and they are pretty nice!!

Call a few rental companies to get prices in your area.

As a vendor, I usually steer my clients away from flooring unless your heart is set on it. Outdoor flooring can be tricky, even the dance floors that snap together-if the ground isn't perfectly level (or leveled by a company using another semi-floor under the floor), the floor can snap apart, creating a hazard for your guests. I've seen it happen one too many times...it ends up being more trouble than it's worth.
