I'm not a bride, but I am in Tennessee. Go vols.

I'm getting married in TN but don't live there. Does that count?

I think I'm really an oddball. I'm having a destination wedding at a place called Bluff Mountain Inn in the Pigeon Forge area. Not your typical DW that's for sure.

@ Nov Bride '10, I think I agree, lol! Why Pigeon Forge? I live pretty close.

We .. . err I love the Smoky Mountains and FH loves nature. I actually wanted to get married in Cades Cove but planning that from where I live would have driven me absolutely insane so Bluff Mountain it is. It just so happens Bluff Mountain has a chapel modeled after the one I loved in Cades Cove.

We were going to get married outside at Chapel in The Park,until 4 weeks ago,when we saw the staff's "true colors"!!! Too much of a bait & switch operation.Sooo,then we toured Bluff Mountain.No comment~LOL! Then we went to Cades Coves/Townsend & fell in love with The Tuckaleeche Methodist Church in Townsend(which we could have rented) & especially The Barn Event Center in Townsend.So,then we came back to Ohio & weighed all the pros & cons.Sooooo,looks like,now,we are getting married at one of Wright Patterson Air Force Base chapels,then to Cox Arboretum for pics,with a reception in our good old home town of Harrison,Ohio.Ohh well,at least we got a mini vacation out of the Smokies trip ! (o:
