Tell me your experience with dip nails? 1

I’m thinking of getting sns dip nails for my big day but I’m not sure. I want my nails to look natural similar to the photo above

can you tell me your experience with dip nails and also how long does it take when you get them done? I currently don’t have anything on my nails lol
Thanks

I like sns. It helps grow your nails. It takes about an hour to apply.

I love it! When nail salons shut down, I ordered some off Amazon and have been doing it myself for about 2 months now. I agree with PP that your nails will grow extremely fast with them. They last about 3 to 4 weeks before you need to get them done again. It takes my nail tech about 45 minutes to do it. I takes about an hr and 15ish minutes because I'm not a pro lol. Anyway here's the dip I had on my natural nails on my wedding day.

I have never had them done but when I do them myself I typically spend about 45 minutes on them.

Dip nails are good and like pp said I did it a bit when salons were shut down. It is basically acrylic in terms of feel and much stronger than gel nails. If you want your natural nails no tip it is a great option. I will say you can get tips added as well if you want some length.

It’s amazing! My nail tech asked me if I wanted to try it instead of my typical gel polish about 2 years ago and I’ve never looked back! It’s kept my nails super healthy, especially through dry winters. It can feel a little heavier than just regular polish but after about an hour you can’t even tell! It takes about 40 minutes if you don’t have anything on! Lasts about 2-3 weeks on average before they’re too long for me.

I’ve only ever had like five manicures my whole life. I got dip nails with a friend done for my engagement photos and I loved them. They look a lot more natural than acrylic and they are damn near impossible to scratch or chip and I am rough on my nails believe me. It took maybe an hour same for any other manicure and it lasted about a month. The biggest downside was that you have to go back to a salon to have them removed and then your nails are a little thin for a while until they grow fully back out.

I did dip before everything shut down, and they stopped me from biting my nails finally. They're really easy to get on and last about 3 to 4 weeks, less for me because I tend to be hard on my nails. But I love the colors and how easy it is.

When I was college, I worked at a boutique next to a salon. I used to get SNS dip nails ALL THE TIME!

I’d normally be out of the salon within an hour. I eventually stopped getting them done because they file your nail down to achieve a smooth look. After a while (months of reapplication), my nails started to get so thin that they hurt. I haven’t had them done since then. Getting them off is the hard part!
I will say to be mindful of how the salon applies the powder. I’ve been to salons where they just dip your finger in the powder (which is normal), but maybe I’m germaphobe — it kinda weirds me out to think of who else’s finger has been in there — especially now with COVID. I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding a the end of the month, and I’m taking my own powder to the salon with me to have them done, haha!

There good if you get the right nail tech! I’ve seen some super thick and it looks awkward, so just make sure you find a good nail tech

I love dip and used to get them done monthly before COVID! Mine have always turned out nice and I’m usually only in the nail salon for 30 mins sometimes less if they aren’t busy! I love dip because it’s lasts and doesn’t chip, I’ve had it in for 5 weeks without chipping once lol

They look gorgeous. I’ve been curious about doing it myself. I hate waiting for polish to dry.

I’ve had it done multiple times. It typically lasts 3-4 weeks for me, but I’ll say my problem with them is that while my nails start to grow, the polish catches in my hair a lot.
