Teeth Whitening

"Tarte pearly girl" it's an organic tooth whitening pen and it works really quickly. Also avoid drinking anything that stains teeth in the meantime. Trust me I'm in dental school lol

Ok. This is a slightly expensive purchase, but has been life changing for me recently--Phillips Sonicare V electric toothbrush. It has a whitening mode, and both my FH and I noticed a difference after just a few uses. Plus, my teeth feel super clean all of them time!

I did also purchase AP 24 toothpaste from a friend, but plan to use it closer to our wedding. However, I have heard great things about it. I'll update you when I try it, though! :-)

Pro dentist? Idk I bought the whitestrips and they hurt my teeth. So I can say that.

I hear charcoal toothpaste helps with whitening. Also to Jennifer's point, if you drink coffee or anything other than water, it's best to drink it through a straw. That's what I do since my dentist told me to start doing that because my teeth were getting yellow.

Ok as I have said before I have been a dental Assistant for 23 years so here is my advise

option 1 (best way) Get your teeth whitened at the dentist

Option 2 (more Affordable) Crest White Strips are BY FAR the best!!

Option 3 (cheaper) Baking soda and peroxide mixed into a paste and brush with it DO NOT SWALLOW

After ANY whiting option it is important to avoid any HIGH color foods Such as wine, coffee and tomato base foods for 24-48 hours because the pores (yes teeth have pores) of your teeth at open, and whiting dries them out, and then they act like little sponges soaking up anything it can to re-hydrate!

soo good rule of thumb is if you don't want your teeth to be that Color then Don't eat it!!

Keep in mind some people have staining INSIDE the teeth from many things taking any kind of Acne medicine as a child or a lot of antibiotics will cause internal stains and no bleach solutions will fix that even the pro dentist ones.

also if you have any crowns or large composite fillings in your smile line they will not change color.

@ Claire great suggestion for a sonicare! However while power tooth brushes do make your teeth appear whiter it is only because they are getting cleaned better and that is a good thing!

ETA if sensitivity is a problem ask your dentist for a recommendation for a sensitive toothpaste you could use after whiting or try fluoride rise it will help plug the pores or cover them to decrease sensitivity

I also have the AP 24 I've seen a slight change only cause I can't stay away from that GD coffee or tea....UGH!!! One of my BM gave me some whitening stuff from her office but I've yet to try it.

I get my teeth whitened using whitening gel and trays from my dentist. I highly recommend going this route!

Honestly ever since I started using arm and hammer toothpaste with baking soda and extra whitening, my teeth are so much whiter and have gotten rid of any coffee stains

I use coconut oil! It pulled out the toxins out and makes my teeth whiter. I use it for about ten minutes everyday and the make sure to spit it out into a trash can!

I like the AP 24. I've definitely see a difference.

@Tori, we have virgin coconut oil, will this work the same way? Dentist told me we can't do whitening coz it will make my teeth even weaker.
