Teeth whitening.. recommendations ? 🦷

Aleah, on September 27, 2019 at 8:55 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 3 20
What are the best affordable ways to whiten my teeth before the wedding? I am not going to invest in anything involving a dentist, but I definitely want something that will work and make a significant difference, I’m not expecting a miracle but you know, a little help. My teeth aren’t that bad but obv they have a little tint to them, sometimes it’s noticeable sometimes not so much, but either way I’d like a boost in my confidence for the big day lol.
Please comment recommendations, and your honest opinions about whatever product you comment, with a price if possible!!! ❤️

(I know I am so late to be worrying about this the wedding is 21 days away and this somehow fell behind that desk in my brain and I just found it again while cleaning up the mess wedding planning has made lol)

Crest whitening strips never worked for me, they also hurt my gums a bit and they aren't that sensitive. Honestly, I've started brushing with straight baking soda and I'm pretty happy with how it's going (even though it tastes terrible)! I will say DON'T use that charcoal stuff that's advertised everywhere. Yes it whitens your teeth, but it's because it's eating through your enamel Smiley atonished

I use a great toothpaste that a friend sells. I was honestly skeptical but it's taken a shade off my teeth (I'm a huge coffee drinker). I tried others but they caused sensitivity to my teeth.

I have used crest. I get the 1 hour strips and 3 days of application makes a huge difference. Since you have time, I’d maybe do a strip a day once or twice a week to minimize sensitivity. You can get them in cvs, Walmart, grocery stores etc.

Recently i I tried the Burst strips. They taste better, are effective and have given me less sensitivity BUT they are harder to get to stay in place. You can only order online.

I've used Crest white strips for years. I use the luxe professional effects kind and always get great results. They do make my teeth really sensitive while doing them.

You can put a tiny bit of toothpaste into a small cup and mix a tsp of baking soda with 1/2tsp hydrogen peroxide to get a paste. I used to brush with this mixture once or at most twice a week and it really brightened my teeth. I’d recommend once a week leading up to the day.

My husband likes brushing with arm & hammer whitening toothpaste & using charcoal to brush his teeth once a week. He also has one of these: https://www.walmart.com/ip/6V-White-LED-Light-Teeth-Whitening-Tooth-Gel-Whitener-Health-Oral-Care/680233327.

I have less sensitive teeth than him so I used crest whitening strips!

We both use a whitening mouthwash & toothpaste everyday too.

I'll join the Crest Whitestrips wagon! They worked great at evening out the color of my teeth after having braces for 1.5 years! You could also use a charcoal toothpaste, just search for it on amazon!

My fiance and i have legitimately tried all of the large advertised toothpastes, whitening strips, etc. and none of it really did what we were wanting so we ended up making appointments to get our teeth whitened at the dentist's office lol.

I used Crest white strips. I just couldn't use them everyday because they made my teeth hurt, but mine are pretty sensitive. I only used them maybe 4-5 times and I could really tell a difference.

I would call your dentist and ask about options! Even if you can't do something like Zoom, as a PP mentioned, they have trays and can recommend other safe solutions.

(I talked to mine, and if I recall correctly, there were 3 or 4 options he recommended. We're still quite a bit out, so we haven't committed to anything yet.)

FH and I have been brushing with Activated Charcoal powder. It has been working and it also freshens your breath.

Crest whitening strips is the best thing you can do right now. They sometimes go on sale but they’re approximately $30 depending on which ones you go with. They work amazingly!! I purchased white stripes for my friends wedding and the party literally the morning of the wedding and everyone had them on while getting ready lol. Her teeth looked good 🤷🏾‍♀️
