Tattoos

Okay ladies...I've yet to see a discussion on it and I'm starting it. I have several tattoos...and in no way shape or form do I plan on covering them up with makeup or whatever. I'm not ashamed of then. BUT...I am a little nervous of how they are going to look in photos with my big fat upper arms. Any one feel the same way? Or am I being weird? I just feel like...I'm very self conscious. Below are family photos where you can see the tattoos on my arms but since I'm wearing some sleeve I feel a little more comfortable??? Make sense? I feel like my arms and tattoos are going to be very exposed for my wedding. Who else felt similar and how did you get over that or ignore it?

I have a number of visible tattoos and I do not plan on covering them either. I think youre gorgeous and they will complement your wedding attire!

I don't personally have tattoos but I always love when brides DONT cover them, it's like an additional accessory and they obviously cared about these tattoos to get them, so why not show them to the people you love most on such a special important day!
I had a friend cover one of hers and where it was located, her dress kept rubbing off the makeup covering it so it looked pretty rough by the end of the night.

I have a tattoo on my back, and will be wearing a dress with spaghetti straps. I also have a tattoo on my leg - and my dress is tea length. Can you tell I could care less about how it will look? Both of my inks have a deep meaning for me, and most of my wedding guests already know their back story. You are beautiful as you are, be proud and don't atress!

My visable tattoos are a lot smaller and they are on my wrists, but I wouldn't cover mine. I am also very self conscious about my looks. I asked my photographer to suggest poses for me. I know it's sad but I have also looked on Pinterest for suggestions on how to pose so I don't feel self conscious about my arms. Though I have to say you look very beautiful in those photos!

Can I just say, all I saw in those pictures you posted is how HAPPY you look! You guys are adorable! And the tattoos are beautiful, so I'm glad you're not covering them.
I think this is something a lot of people worry about since there is a very set image of what constitutes bridal in their mind, so it's normal - but I wish it wasn't.

Actually that's a good idea...maybe I should figure out how to make my arms more flattering with certain poses and what not...

I’m having off the shoulder little sleeves made on my dress. Mostly to hide my bat wings since I’m over 50 and gravity has hit but also so my arm tattoo isn’t the focal point of my dress. This pic isn’t my actual dress but this is what I want on my dress

I have 7 tattoos. I originally wanted a tea length dress so they wouldn't be covered. But, the dress I love is a long dress. I have 3 arm tattoos (one on my right upper arm, 2 on my upper left arm). I'm not hiding them at all, the 3 on my legs will be covered only because the dress is long. But I have 1 on my chest that won't be covered much.

I am looking for a dress to specifically show off my back tattoos. I see them as an accessory lust like jewelry. I agree with Rosie that the first thing you see in those pictures is how happy you are, not your arms or your tattoos.
