Tattooed brides

Heavily tattooed bride here 🙋🏼‍♀️ When I went dress shopping, my tattoos were just a non-factor in my mind. I simply shopped for the dress I loved, regardless of whether tattoos were covered or exposed (or a combo of both). My tattoos are just a part of my every day life, so it wasn’t deeply important for me to show them or cover them up. The only important thing to me was finding the dress I felt beautiful and confident in.

Unless your parents are paying for your dress, I don't think their opinion should matter. Surely they understand that your tattoos a permanent, deliberate part of you.

My parents arnt against my tattoos its just they think it'll make for better pics on the wedding day.. So im my pictures everyone will be focused on me and not my tattoos

My dress shows my arm tattoos and one back tattoo. I honestly didn't even think about it when I tried it on. They're such a part of me and it would be weird for me to cover them up.

I'm so sorry they don't respect your choices. I hope you can block out their negative comments and choose the dress YOU want.

I currently have a back piece and like you it's a part of me so no covering it up for the big day.

This is me trying on my dress for my vow renewal. I noticed my tattoos when I put it on but now that I relook at it they're just there and have been for ages so they are a part of me now. Also, my cute dog was helping me

I have 1 large and 1 small visible. To make my dad happy I am covering them.

I have several and have no intention to cover any. They are part of you so fully embrace them. Offbeatbride.com has many tattooed brides who don’t hide them.

You will be able to see most of my tattoos in my dress. My tattoos are memorials to my grandparents and are part of me. If anything im thinking of getting my rose touches up a bit before the wedding

Thank you! All of mine have a meaning as well and are special to me so why cover them up? I mean people know they are there so they are used to seeing them now anyway . She is a cute puppers isn't she

My mom hates my tattoos even to this day, she's always telling me to cover it up when i am around guests.

anyway for my wedding she kept telling me to get long gloves or cover with make up and in the end i did not because that is my choice. i do as i want and my tattoos are a part of me.
