As you may recall from my previous post, I talked about how I’m wary about choosing a long-sleeved gown because I have tattoos. Not because I think I won’t look good, but because I’ve been told that long-sleeved gowns don’t work for tattooed brides. I have very detailed and colorful arm tattoos and they’ve apart of me and I love them, so hearing those comments hurt a little. When I shop, I don’t ever think about how certain items of clothing will look with my ink. I just buy clothes that I like and look good on me (like we all do). Anyways, HP recently posted some photos of a tattooed bride in her Hayley gown and I have to admit, I think she looks stunning. I was also quite happy to see that all of the comments talked about how beautiful she looked and no one said anything about her body art. It’s just confirmed for me that I need to choose the dress that I myself like and disregard the outside opinions or the “what if so and so thinks I chose the wrong gown” thoughts. Long sleeved gowns are still an option for me! 😊
