We already wanted to get our wedding rings tattooed on ( not necessarily during the wedding). Our tattoo artist said that she would love to come and set up as a vendor and tattoo whoever wanted one at the wedding. We're kind of on the fence right now but my husband wanted me to ask what people think...

It sounds like a fun idea. If it fits you as a couple, then go for it. Those who don't like it don't have to participate.

No matter what you do, offbeat or completely traditional, there will be one person who doesn't like it. As long as you are graciously hosting your guests (feeding them appropriately, no one has to open wallets for anything, etc) don't let the naysayers sway you since there is no issue to begin with.

I’ve seen this pop up more and more recently (on the internet, haven’t been to a wedding with a tattoo pop up myself). I think it’s a really cool idea and I would most likely get a tattoo as a guest there. I’d want to know the artists name and be able to look through their past work - maybe have their portfolio book at the wedding.
I’d love to be able to do this at my wedding - just don’t have the budget.

Hey!! I’m thinking of doing something similar so I thought I could comment! My tattoo artist has different packages that are related to a “theme”. So flowers, or Halloween etc… for example I have a subtle Star Wars theme and he has a Star Wars package! It wouldn’t be anyone’s name or date or anything like that. He can do a small rebellion symbol or a blaster.
