Tattoo cover up

Natalie, on January 28, 2017 at 8:45 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 31

I am thinking of covering up 2 black wrist tattoos I have for my wedding day so it doesn't clash with my dress and whole "bridal look". Has anyone else covered their tattoos for their wedding day and if so what are the best products you would recommend to use?

I was in a wedding years ago. I had them covered with makeup. It looked like i had bruises cause the black was still showing through the make-up a little bit. There is better make-up out there now. Maybe do a trial run first. ETA- words

I kept mine uncovered for the wedding because tattoos don't clash with a bridal look, in my opinion. In my opinion, look like you are, and covering up indicates perhaps shame of the tattoos?

Anywhoo, I have had to cover them up for theatre performances. Kat Von D makes a great tattoo cover up.

I don't have shame of tattoos. I love my tattoos, I have 7 total. But my parents aren't too fond of them though and would rather me cover them up. I had them uncovered for my engagement photos and I thought they looked fine

I will have 3 visible tattoos on my wedding day. One of which is a large shoulder tat. I love them all and can't wait to show them off. You make the look bridal, not the dress. But if you really want to cover them up id talk to your makeup artist. Theyll know what products work best.

I have a noticeable tattoo on my inner arm and will not be covering it up for my wedding. It's part of me and part of my package.

If you do decide to cover them I'd do test runs as a PP said.

I love each of my tattoos. I'm not ashamed of any of them. With that being said, I will be covering up one of them for my wedding because only a small piece of it shows, and it looks weird.

I will have four visible (three on my feet) tattoos on my wedding day. The fourth is my late father's handwriting from the last Valentine's Day card he gave me. Not covering!

This is how the one I will be covering up looks. I think if it doesn't feel right, do what you can to make it feel right.

I have tattoos I refuse to cover. They are on my body, this is my art I don't think it clashes with anything. I have back tattoos, wrist, and arm, also have piercings. My FH is completely comfortable with them being shown on our wedding day and that's all that mattered to me. It's you that makes the bridal look not your ink. Be proud of them and work it like you've never worked them before, you only (hopefully) get married once! But what ever you do do a trial run first, if all fails walmart sales a product called Bairly Sheer I used on my cousin for his interview to cover his tattoos.

I had mine covered up with airbrush make up by my makeup artist. Mine was right under my collar bone

If you're having your makeup done by a pro, talk to them about it. They have access to lots of tools and tricks. If you're doing it yourself, Dermablend makes some pretty amazing cover up products. I know you can get them at Ulta. I'm sure Sephora and department stores probably carry them, too.

Make sure that you are making the decision to cover them up because it is what you want and not because it would please your parents.

I'm not sure about makeup, but if their small, could a bracelet work?

I have a cross about 2.5 inches on my outer wrist and believe on my inner wrist. I was thinking to cover it with bracelets but haven't found a bracelet I like. Def can try some of those makeup cover up ideas Smiley smile

Sorry this was the only pic I had on my camera roll of it lol. It just got done and was quite swollen! Haha.

But anyways I know exactly how you feel, even though mine is on my foot, I am covering it for the wedding. I don't dislike my tattoo but I don't particularly love showing it off either. My friend covered it easily with Kat Von D and Becca foundation. Is was super easy!

I'm getting mine removed right now and it is about 75% gone. I will be using Dermablend to cover it. You can get it at Ulta.
