You should connect with your MUA about airbrushing; i've seen some brides get it done for themselves.

Sephora has a tatoo cover up makeup and try soem of the makeup counters at some of your local department stores like at Macy's,Dillard's, and big stores like that. I was on my dance line in college and we had girls that had tatoos but when it was game time you would have never known the difference. From what I remember that would get it from some of the makeup counters in those big department stores.

Kat Von D's tattoo concealer is at Sephora:

I remember watching "LA Ink" one time when she first came out with this product and they did a photo shoot, where they took the following angel/devil pictures to show how good they cover:

    Hope that helps you out!

Kat Von D's is pretty good, so I hear. However, I agree- your makeup artist should be able to take care of this for you!

I'm sorry but I have to disagree - I've used the Kat Von D kit and found it to be totally useless! Same for the kit from David's Bridal. Tattoo cover can be tricky, even in experienced hands, and especially when you've got a beautiful dress you don't want to get makeup all over! A lot of alleged tattoo-covers will also work reasonably well to the naked eye, but once the camera flashes - surprise! And while Dermablend is pretty good coverage-wise, I've never found any cream cover to really hold up and not transfer.

I've gotta second connecting with a MUA, or someone who has some experience with airbrushing - the results are amazing, and with an alcohol-based product, completely transfer-proof and will last until you scrub it off.

Concealing a tattoo is tricky. Size, color and location have to be taken into consideration. Most importantly, you need a professional to do it for you to have it done correctly. Depending on the size and intensity of the tat, the skin has to be prepped then concealed. You can't just cover the tat, the whole skin area around it has to blend in. I use a combination of products to achieve a flawless look, traditional makeup as well as airbrush. A tattoo on the chest, close to the neckline can be tricky. Airbrush, if the skin is rubbing where the dress is, will leave some residual makeup. Legs, back and arms can be worked on without staining, but again, an experienced MUA will be able to handle it.

I went to Sephora with the intent of buying the Kat Von D brand. The girl working there used some on me and it didn't do much. She recommended"Make Up For Ever." It's a thick and waterproof concealer. You definitely have to blend it like someone else mentioned, but after doing a test run, it looks good and blends with my skin tone. I bought the full coverage extreme camouflage cream and high definition powder. It cost $48 total.

There are a lot of products being sold for tattoo cover. CoverFX, DermaBlend, ColorTration and Kat Von D even makes tattoo cover. While these will cover the tattoo, stability is going to be an issue. If you need the cover up to last and not rub off or smear, your best bet is to go with an alcohol based makeup, preferably airbrush. Then seal over with professional quality Green Marble (alcohol based) SeLr.

Any of the typicall tattoo cover up products are usually a cream consistency and the heat from your skin will cause the cream to begin to soften and melt. Even with a sealer over top you won't be able to keep it from rubbing or smearing off.

One thing to remember is to shave the area to remove any little hairs that may lift the makeup from the skin. Use rubbing alcohol to remove any traces of oil or lotion prior to the application. And keep in mind, any consumption of alcohol in the days prior will have a negative affect on the staying power of the makeup product.
