Taste Testing

FutureMrs.Garcia, on April 27, 2017 at 11:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18

Who all did you invite to come to your taste testing? I have my parents and the groom of course! Do his parents need to come to? We invited them but they don't really want to come. Is that all that you invite?

Usually it is the ones paying for the wedding and bride and groom. I am inviting my dad and my fh parents since we are paying for the wedding.

For the food being served at your wedding? For us it was just me, FH, and one of my sisters. They don't really want too many people there. You should ask what their limit is.

It was just me and my FH who went to the tastings. I don't think there needs to be extra people there, unless your parents are paying for some.

I was only allowed two people total so it was just FH and myself. I also don't think anyone else really needs to be there.

It was just me and FH. My dad is paying for the reception, but he didn't feel like tagging along because he needed to wash his truck that day (lol).

We tasted with a couple of caterers, so it depended on how many they allowed. For one they allowed us to bring 8, so we had us, my parents, FMIL, FBIL (BM), and my sister (MOH). Another was only 4, so it was just us and my parents.

Me, FH, and my parents. We could invite up to 6 but chose not to since the remaining two would be his parents but they're 5 1/2 hours away.

We're taking everyone out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, so I imagine we'll do our own "tasting" several times before the actual wedding day. Smiley smile

Probably just me and FH. I should totally bring the kids though so we don't have to cook dinner. Hmmm

It was just my FH and I for most meetings. I don't think my parents need to be involved in the planning. We didn't do a tasting because my venue doesn't offer that. If you want your parents to come then I think his should be invited as well.

I invited my mother, brother, my father and his gf. Father/gf couldn't attend at the last minute, so we asked FH Aunt if she'd like to come and she accepted. We wanted representation from FH side of the family because his parents live several states away.

    Basically, invite who you want.

FH and I did 2 of the catering tastings and my sister came to one because she happened to be coming to visit the weekend they had available. We did the cake tastings with her though because she specifically said she would like to be there since she has a home baking business to see how they did it.

We invite my mom and his mom (because the tasting was only for four people). And then my wedding planner came to discuss details with my venue

Our parents came because they're paying for the venue/food. We also brought my grandparents along which I am so glad we did because my grandma passed away a few months later and won't be able to attend the wedding.

It ended up being a nice little weekend

It has just been FH and me at our tastings. If someone else were paying for it, I'd invite them too, but otherwise we didn't feel the need to include a bunch of people.

We were allowed to invite our parents. We ended up bringing both of our mothers as it wasn't really something our fathers were interested in.
