Tan Lines Two Weeks Out??

Pam, on October 15, 2017 at 7:42 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

My wedding is in two weeks on 10/28/17. I am wearing a strapless dress for the wedding. I was super careful over the summer wearing only strapless tops and really didn't get any significant tan lines. Also I am relatively fair so my tan quickly fades from the summer. I was feeling great about my even tan on my back and shoulders until a few days ago. It has been unseasonably warm where I live and I spend a fair amount of time outside. As a result I have gotten some tank top/sports bra tan lines! They aren't super noticeable but I'm afraid once I put on a strapless white dress it will be much more noticeable. Any recommendations to get these lines evened out before the wedding??? I don't want to get a spray tan because I've never had one before and I'm too anxious that it won't look good for the wedding. I don't want to be very brown for the wedding since I'm kind of fair and so is FH. Advice please!

I was thinking about a lotion, I've never used one before. Would I only use it on the lighter part of my skin? Any recommendations?

Jergens makes a nice one, use the lightest shade they offer. Or maybe grab the lightest and next one and test them out on your leg just in case. You can get it at Walmart.. cvs.. target... Don't forget to exfoliate before you use them!

I had this exact problem. I contacted a local woman who has a mobile spray tanning service with fabulous reviews. She could tell I wasn't really wanting a spray tan, but was just desperate to cover my tan lines (she asked if I would be getting the spray tan if I didn't have the lines and the answer was no). She advised me not to spend money on the spray tan, but to do A LOT of exfoliating of the area with the tan lines. She also recommended St. Tropez bronzing mousse applied with a soft makeup blender (I think I purchased the St. Tropez brand). She recommended testing it out before the wedding and having someone help me apply it. The exfoliating actually worked for me, and I did not end up using the self tanner. But I thought I would pass on her recommendation.

Try the light jergens lotion, exfoliate then put the lotion on. But don't exfoliate after you start doing the lotion.

The lotion you'll want to apply all over your chest area and arms. It's super light and gradual so you won't notice it at allSmiley smile

I'm super pale and really like the jergens lotion! Hope it works for you.
