Tall centerpieces

Lyndsay, on September 3, 2019 at 9:26 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

Hi everyone. I am looking into having a mix of tall and shorter centerpieces...for those of you that did this for decor what did you do with the flowers after the wedding? Did you let guests take them? Most of my guests will be traveling from out of town so I don't see them taking them with them. I was thinking of having them saved for the next day and then me and my fiance can maybe donate them to a retirement home or hospital?

That would be really nice of you, I would call ahead before dropping by a retirement home though.

I remember attending only one wedding that I took a floral arrangement home. Donating would be very sweet!

I have the same dilemma but haven’t thought about it yet. We also with both short and tall centerpieces. All but four guests have to fly in so they can’t take them. And we fly out the next morning for our honeymoon so no time to drop them off for donations. If you have time I think donations are a great idea. Now I’m confused as to what I’ll do :/

Yeah, I love the idea of fresh flowers it just feels like such a shame to let them go to waste after the event as I don't see my guests lugging flowers on planes to get home. Like you, Krystal, only about two couples will be local. I can of course take the flowers home with me but sheesh what an ordeal to try and get them loaded up (especially when I am renting the vases).
