I have always planned on not having my FH see me in my dress before the wedding ceremony (I'm fine if we see each other before we get ready, before I'm in my dress) because I really want that first look to be special and uncensored. But my mom has recently urged me to take photos beforehand. She said, "when I got married, I didn't know you could do take photos before the ceremony, but I wish I had because it would have made things easier." But we're planning on having a cocktail hour, which is when we would take our wedding photos. What did you guys do at your wedding, and was it any less stressful having your photos taken during cocktail hour or before the wedding?
FYI: I think those first-look photos where the bride walks up behind the groom and taps him on the shoulder are so different from a first-look of your bride walking down the aisle, so I wouldn't want to do that.
