Take home treats?

Fenrir, on April 6, 2023 at 11:21 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 5

My wife is a baker and is insistent on making our wedding favors in the form of a jar of small chocolates with our favorite flavors. I love her to death and never have the heart to say no to her but if I put my foot down on this, I know she will be upset. I'm not worried that she can't handle it I am worried that she will have to make 125 small jars and keep all the chocolate from melting into one mass. does anyone have any suggestions that will help her out and save her sanity?

Store the jars in a cool dark place such as a garage. Most sweets can be made a couple weeks in advance

Don’t freeze the jars or the chocolate at any time. Store them as is. But keep the chocolate in a cool dark space.

What about packaging the chocolate in something that isn’t a jar? I think a clear jar held in someone’s hands might cause the chocolate to melt faster. Also depends on what time of year your wedding is (August vs. December). Maybe she can use small lined confectionery boxes? There’s a clear confectionery chocolate box on Shein for $1.70 each- has small dividers & space for 6 chocolates. Could probably find something through any of those online wholesale shops like Efavormart or orientaltrading

That's not a bad idea, our wedding is the 21 of October, so it's just as it starts getting colder in PA at least. I may try and steer her towards something like this instead i don't think she's thought of it
