Taco in a bag fundraiser ... what.

Meagen, on March 4, 2017 at 11:20 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 24

This was a response to whether or not it was appropriate to start a GoFundMe for wedding expenses since families weren't apparently fronting it for them.

Personal favorite: taco in a bag.

This can't be real.

...

Right?

"Even if it's family at least they have a chance at winning something." Wow. Congrats on making a tacky event even tackier.

It's called a walking taco, if you're gonna sell it you at least need to call it the right name.

I am speechless. Which is virtually impossible for me.

And a sure sign that something supremely tacky is coming up is if people ask for "no comments if you don't agree'.

Her whole comment was sandwiched between telling people not to disagree with her.

Basically you have a bag of Fritos and you add in some taco meat and then all the other toppings you want and you eat it with a fork. Thus the walking taco

I didn't get beyond tacos and about six lines of that pathetic, "you owe me the wedding of my dreams" post.

Without apology, I'll go to my grave never believing that the word "taco" and "wedding" belong in the same sentence. Worse than that is this hideous idea that a couple, who can't afford the fluff and pageantry they're envisioning, are shamelessly pestering anyone (and everyone) to fund their wedding. Love, if it is genuine, will find a way....and it's not through this disgusting, repulsive fund raising. If love is so powerful, host your parents and siblings after an intimate ceremony. Fund raising makes sense if a human being needs cancer treatment -- I'm on board. Fund raising for a wedding? That makes me want to vomit.

I think in Texas it's called Frito Pie. From my childhood in Minnesota, I call it "gross school lunch." If only Jamie Oliver had made it by the late 1980s...
