This story isn't really the usual tackiness that's mentioned here, but here goes. I was a junior bridesmaid in my cousins backyard wedding when I was 12, along with my 3 younger cousins. As we were walking single file down the aisle, the groom's jumped up into the middle of the right in front of me almost knocking me over, and started screaming at his dog, who was wandering around the rows of people. I was pretty pissed. He ruined the procession by leaving everyone pretty shaken up. At this same wedding, one of the bridesmaids had a nose ring and my great uncle, who was a minister officiating the wedding, would not preform the wedding unless she took it out and she refused. She eventually did, though. I don't have anything against piercings, but it was just that she zero respect to my uncle, my cousin, and the wedding.

At my sisters wedding her MIL moved the reception table numbers around moments before the reception seating was meant to start without telling anyone. People had already looked at the seating chart by then to see where they were sitting so her last minute decision caused a lot of confusion among the guests.

FH's best friend got married 2 years ago.

    1) They didn't sent invitations. FH was invited via text message.

    2) Yes, only FH was invited (despite being with him for 5 years at the time).

    3) The day before the wedding his best friend texted him saying "oh you can bring Shay if you want!"

    4) There was a big fight between the bride and the groom at the wedding because the bride hired a photographer without telling the groom (it was supposed to be the groom's best friend's sister, who still showed up to take photos. That was a disaster.)

    4) The bride had a huge, gorgeous ball gown, the BM were in long, elegant evening gowns, the groom and GM were in full tuxes, the RD was at an upscale steak house, yet the reception was at a dirty, Chinese buffet with no alcohol, since the bride's parents were super religious and the bride and groom were both 18. (Bride was also pregnant.)

Needless to say, it was quite an event. We still talk about it quite often, but not for good reason.

At my cousin's wedding they didn't get up and do table visits. Instead they had the DJ announce that we were invited to visit the bride and groom at their sweetheart table on our way to the buffet so we could give them our best wishes. Baarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrffffffffffffff.

Have the decency to get up and greet your guests at your wedding.

Nine photographers from five different studios for an 100 guest wedding. It was a little like paparazzi, but even with all those shooters not everyone there ended up in any photos. Blew my mind!

I agree with some of these, but have to disagree about some of them. I think weddings that have games have been more fun than weddings that just had dancing, personally.

What do you mean by "stocking the bar?"

Been to a wedding where the best man gave a speech while the bride was in the bathroom. The speech was all about the best man’s journey through his PhD with brief mentions of the groom and no mention of the bride at all.

Been to a wedding where the bride’s uncle brought a date and they were dry humping each other on the lounge chairs at the entrance to the reception hall so everyone entering had to first witness that unforgettable moment.

Been to a wedding where a woman wore a white dress and walked around pointing out how edgy and confident she was despite all the dirty looks she had been receiving.
