Taboo Tattoo

My FH and I have a couples tattoo. We are both huge Harry Potter nerds so he got a stag and I got a doe and it has the deathly hallows tied into it with the word always underneath it. It is something either one of us would've liked separately.

I actually do want one with my FH! We just love tattoos both meaningful and random but have no idea what to do for ours. I like to keep mine simple and basic but also toyed with the idea of having a video game character from a game we talked about when we first met.

FH and I are huge tattoo enthusiasts but we're not getting couples tattoos, even though we joke about them. As much as we want our relationship to last forever, we know that sometimes that isn't the case. So having a couples tattoo would really make things painful if we ever split up.

My mom has my dad's last name around her ankle. They have been married for 20 years. She always said if they split then she would tell people it is the name of her kids.

I'd rather have something that I could like on it's own too or something that I can complete on my own if the worst ever did happen.

I don't think it's a jynx!! you should go for it. I would but FH is not a tattoo fan, heh.

FH and I want them. We live tattoos and both have several. I came up with the idea of him getting a lightsaber (he loves star wars) on his ring finger and I will get a magic wand (I'm a giant nerd. I love dragons, fairies, mermaids, mythology, etc.)

We actually just talked about this! I've wanted to get one for so long, but FH has always been hesitant. We both love tattoos and have multiple, so last night we were discussing what our next one was going to be. I said that I'd like to get a cat tattoo to represent our cat and FH liked the idea and said he'd like to get one too. It represents us and our time together, but if we were to ever break up for some reason it's not like a name or anything, it's just a cat.

FH doesn't have any tattoos or any plans on ever getting any. I love tattoos and I have talked to him about eventually getting something symbolic of our relationship. I will not get his name but something that speaks to our relationship.

Following because DH and I keep talking about getting tattoos together. I hadn't heard this was bad luck or tempting fate, but we do really like the idea of getting something that compliments each other but doesn't necessarily match, so they can stand alone and also fit together.

FH and I got a matching tattoo in July of 2016 after dating for only 4 months. Its just a little symbol on our wrists that mean something to us and nothing to others. We plan to get more matching tattoos later on.

My FH and I have two matching tattoos, a cat with three eyes that we got right before he moved back home across the country, and two matching matchsticks in the same spot when I first came out to visit and we planned my move out here. Definitely planning another after the ceremony although we haven't decided what!

tl;dr FH and I have two and it's only brought us closer. Go for it!

I have one.. with my ex. Luckily we took one of my favorite quotes and split it in half so it makes sense on its own. We had been together 4 years and we broke up like 6 months post tattoo. Obviously I'm biased but I think it is an awful idea.

I actually have 2 matchingish tats with my honey. One is a quote from a children's book that we say to each other. Also have each other's signature with a heart (those were his idea).

We are definitely getting matching tattoos, our anniversary date, around our ring fingers! He also has my initials tattooed already. I've always been really big on people tattooing whatever they want on their own bodies, I don't think it's a jinx. I say, go for it !!!

We have one on our ring fingers. We got our wedding date in Roman numerals.

We got tattoos of the Hawaiian islands while honeymooning there! His is on his chest.

We're doing simple tattoo rings instead of actual wedding bands. He's a mechanic and I work in a bakery so physical jewelry is kinda frowned upon/not allowed, but really, niether one of us are huge fans of jewelry so tattoos fit our personalities better.

We would never get names tattooed but a "couple tattoo" I think is cute.

FH doesn't want tattoos, but I do have a note he wrote me tattooed on my ribs in his handwriting.

For a long while now I'd been floating the idea of one of us getting an acorn and one of us getting a thimble, and FW surprised the hell out of me a few weeks ago when we were in New Orleans and I mentioned getting them that weekend and she was all on board (i have 3 already, she has none). We didn't end up doing it because we were so busy the whole weekend, but she's still into it. But said "I just want to find a really good reference picture of a thimble so that it doesn't look like a condom."
