Nefetera, on March 9, 2020 at 5:40 AM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hello

I was wondering
Is this proper equitte to allow the guest to snack on something while the cermony is going on? The cermony and my reception is at the same place and is an hr apart from the guest to began eating. My reception is at 5pm food begans at 6pm open buffet till 8pm.Do you think i should place like candy or trays of cheese& crackers at table or 6pm they can wait to eat??? I know this may sound insane...Thank you

I wouldn’t serve food during the ceremony, but you should serve appetizers during cocktail hour.

I agree that I wouldn't serve anything mostly because you want them focused on you and not eating or anything like that. If you have a cocktail hour then that should suffice until the reception.

I agree with a cocktail hour. We definitely weren't planning one and then just ended up with an awkward gap before people could start eating so we decided to make a cocktail hour of it. We are just going to do some fruit and cheese trays for snacking.

I'm doing cheese, crackers, fruit and veggies, along with a Mexican dip and chips! It is enough to stave off any hunger, but guests won;t get completely full and not be able to eat dinner!

I believe no munching during ceremony! We’re having appetizers during the cocktail hour. We’re having grilled cheese shooter (little tomato soup in shot glass with a mini grilled cheese), mushrooms (with a little cheese and sausage) and quesadillas. Think handheld but not sloppy. We skipped bruschetta for this reason. No one want it spilling on their nice clothes.
