Table sizes and seating

Rachel Anne, on December 14, 2016 at 10:24 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

Hi all! I was trying to google how many people I can fit at the tables in my reception space and I really haven't found a clear answer. My venue has two different table options, one being 84 inch round tables and the other is 54x108 long tables. I'm just curious as to how many people I can fit at each type of table to see which will be the best for me to go with.

The size of the chairs are a factor, too. At my venue, the chairs they provide fit 8/table, but if we rent chairs from the caterer they fit 10 people. Your venue(or whoever is providing tables and chairs) will have to tell you.

For the standard round table, they say 8-10 people, but I will tell you that 10 is cramped (in most cases)

As for the rectangular, can't help :/

I feel like this is a question for your venue. They should be able to work with you to make sure you have the seating arrangement you want. That would include explaining how many guests each size table can comfortably accommodate, and making recommendations based on what has worked well for other brides/parties at that venue in the past.

Depends. The usual for tables is 10 people per table and then up to 12. But again....depends

I emailed my venue coordinator directly and asked how many people they seat at the table.
