Table set up

Caylin, on July 30, 2020 at 4:54 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Hey everyone!

We are trying to figure out how to set our dining tables for the reception. We are having a buffet style meal. I've seen some weddings that have the head table all set with chargers and the rest of the tables were left alone. I'd love to see how you guys set up your tables!

With covid restrictions we will do crescents or rounds with no assigned seating except for FH and step son

We are going to have round tables with centerpieces only and assign a guest a table number. They will get their plate when they go to the buffet. If you want you can have chargers to mark the places. I just didn't want to spend the money on them.

I'd either put chargers on all of the tables or not on any of them. Otherwise the tables without them look incomplete.
It's good to at least put silverware and napkins on the tables. People tend to forget those when they go up to the buffet and it's always awkward when someone has to go back up for that stuff.

Ours will have nicely folded napkins (that sorta stand up) in the center where the plates would be. There will also be glasses and silverware on the tables.

We're doing napkins and fork/knife on the table. The plates will be on the buffet line and the glasses will be at a beverage station (recommended by our caterer). Chargers were an unnecessary cost for us. I might fully set one table for "details" photo purposes but I don't think it's a must!
