Table runners

We also have white linens in a barn venue and won't be using runners. It honestly didn't even cross my mind until this post lol.

I've been to plenty of weddings without table runners. We plan on only having our centerpieces, linens and place settings provided by the venue.

It’s really common not to have table runners! We probably won’t use them. If they don’t fit your budget or aesthetic, ditch them!

Out of all the weddings I’ve been to, I couldn’t tell you what the table linens looked like lol. I don’t think it’s something guests really focus on. We are getting married on a vineyard and part of our reception is also in a barn. We are using white table linens with navy napkins and I have no intentions of using a table runner. Once you have your plates and flatware and your centerpieces, I don’t find them necessary.

I am also having a more rustic wedding and we're actually not doing table runners! We're just setting the tables with greenery and vases.

I saw a wedding at my venue. Only white table clothes with hunter green cloth napkins and a simple flower centerpiece with greens. I thought it looked very elegant. To be honest if I was not so much of a sparkle girl, I would have done this. The simplicity of it was beautiful.

I’ve been to three weddings that I can remember (a few more than that because I don’t remember some) and the three I do remember did not have table runners! A simple table cloth was on each of the tables. My fiancé and I aren’t even doing table runners. We are doing a table cloth. Nothing too fancy because we are simply having a smallish wedding.

To be honest, I’m not so sure I’ve ever been to a wedding WITH table runners (so some take away is even if I have been to one with runners, they’re not memorable and certainly didn’t effect my experience as a guest at all!!)

Oh lol. And me! I didn’t do runners. I didn’t do white linens but gray with blue napkins so there was a pop of color there , but here’s no runner with colored linens!

I've never been to a wedding with table runners nor did I use them. I used ivory silk linens with fresh garlands.

I have and it looked fine. I will be using white linens for our beach wedding and plan to focus on the centerpieces, not table runners. I thought about it for a minute but decided they were not needed.

We didn't use table runners. They look ridiculous on round tables imho.

I feel so much better about NOT using table runners. I was still on the fence and I'm only 23 days out lol. Thank you for this post

You don't have to do what everyone else does, that's the joy of planning your own wedding. If you don't care for the runners, that's perfectly okay hun! Do whatever you want or don't want. I promise you, no one is going to look back and say " remember that wedding we went too, they had no table runners!" Lol.
