Table runners or no table runners?

Terri, on March 11, 2015 at 12:46 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

I'm stuck between having table runners or none at all. Our tables will be covered with black table cloths ( due to then being cheaper) . My centerpieces are wine bottles that have been covered with purple and turquoise glitter, will also have candles in votive holders, white flowers will be inside the wine bottles. All this will be on top of a round mirror.

Just having a hard time finding table runners that would work with my centerpieces and not blend into the black table cloths.

I don't think there is a NEED for them. If there is enough going on for the centerpiece, I would think a table runner wouldn't be missed..

I think the black, white, and silver is enough, really. With the white dishes and white napkins, that alot going on. Im actually using navy blue chair sashes as my table runners. My tables are kinda narrow and they are wide enought to give a little color to the white table clothes, and will coordinate well with the navy ble napkins the venue is ordering for me. We are also using a large square mirror with a candle, flower ring and navy blue crystals scattered on the mirror.

I really struggled with this for a while, but finally settled on buying some last week. Our table cloths are white, as are the chairs. And although we'll have our centerpieces, there just wasn't enough pop on the tables. I'm glad I got them, but I think that things like table runners are small details that only matter to the bride. No one else will notice or call.

Do you have colored napkins? If so then I think that would be enough pop and you don't need a table runner.

Are you having round tables or rectangle tables?

Since your table cloths are black, and you have a mirror under your centrepieces, I don't think you need a table runner. If you did add one, maybe a neutral color like silver or white would work.

Then I would probably forgo the table runner. They aren't necessary.

I'm jealous of your black tablecloths. I wanted them but our venue only does white ones, and I don't want to spend the extra just on tablecloths... lol
