Table linen?

TheTindles, on March 7, 2020 at 8:25 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 22

Advice needed! our wedding colors are marsala, dusty rose, blush pink and white...the centerpieces will have all colors represented... should I use white crisp linen for my tables and accent with another color or should I use another color represented for my tablecloths?

Desired centerpiece attached.

I think white linens with a multicolored floral centerpiece looks classy. Doing a colored linen, colored centerpiece and colored accent can be a bit much.

If you you decide to do colored linen choose something really soft and neutral like champagne. Not sure what fabric you’re using, but champagne in satin is really pretty.

It really depends on if you want a crisp clean look (that’s what I think of with white), or a more soft romantic look. Either way it will be beautiful.

This is similar to my colors! I chose satin champagne overlays, berry colored satin napkins. Then I will have floral centerpieces with berry, blush, white. Table linen? 2

I love the look of white linens but the one thing that worries me is if guests spill their drinks or get food on them, it can make the table look dirty during the reception. I agree with the PP's who said to use champagne.

My Colors Are Similar- Burgundy, Blush Pink, White && Champagne. The Linens And Napkins Will All Be White With A Champagne Table Runner. The Centerpieces Will Be Burgundy, Blush Pink And White And The Table With Have Scattered Petals.

Based on your attached picture, I would suggest white tablecloths. You might be able to add a marsala runner or round doiley/charger/whatever its called under the centerpiece to make it stand out more.

I’m kind of in the same boat. Our colors are red, white, and ivory with black and gold as accents. Our charger plates are gold & our centerpieces are black. I think a plain white tablecloth doesn’t look “finished”.

That last comment wasn’t finished and it randomly posted...lol, so here’s the rest...

I really like the look of a layered table runner. You could get the marsala runner and then layer a white on top of that. Then your centerpiece will still pop on the crisp white and the marsala peaking out underneath will really pull the colors out of your centerpieces.

Did you order your linens online or rent from somewhere local? Renting is so expensive compared to online price!

    I bought online from weddinglinensdirect.com
Super affordable! Shipped very quick and I'm very happy. Only thing to think about is if you buy your own, you may have to do your own steaming/ironing and washing afterwards. Depending on the fabric you choose it could be pretty easy, just wash, dry with wrinkle release, and lay flat to avoid wrinkles!
