Table Design!

Izzykern, on August 10, 2019 at 9:18 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 16
Hey y’all! So I’m indecisive about if I want rectangular farm tables or round tables for my reception! (It is a earthy, rustic but modern venue) I love the look of rectangular tables and we will only have 75 guests so I think the design would be beautiful! But round tables are the traditional and more sociable route... what do you think?

I agree the rectangle ones are nice looking but I'd go with round since it does make it better to socialize

We had one long table with 18 seats and people socialized just fine. It was intimate and perfect for the setting.

Long tables are hard to talk at. You can only have a conversation with the people right next to you or talk over people to talk to someone else.

I'm biased toward round tables because they're aesthetically pleasing and more accessible to me!

I had rectangular tables and think they are actually easier for guests to talk with other guests. They can talk to each guest on either side as well as those across from them without too much distance between them; whereas, the diameter spanning most round tables usually makes it difficult for guests to talk across the table.

I think farm/rectangle tables give a family vibe too, people are able to socialize almost as easily as round!

Wow that’s beautiful! Yes, I love what I will be able to do with rectangular tables as far as decor and candles!

We did round tables for several reasons: guest socialization, moving around tables, and costs. While looking into rentals, we found that rectangle tables cost more than round due to the fact that they're harder to store and deliver.

Oh yeah that makes sense! Our venue includes round tables and rectangular farm tables so cost is not an issue for us at least. But we will save on linen by just doing draping at not covering every inch of the tables Smiley smile
