Table cloth question

Private User, on March 10, 2015 at 10:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

So our reception/dinner tables are two rectangular tables pushed together to make a square table... 8ftx8ft or 96inx96in. I cannot seem to find any table cloths that are that size! Do they not make square table cloths that big? The only other thing I can think of would be to buy two table cloths that would fit each rectangular table... but then I would have an awkward seam in the middle of the table. Help Smiley sad

What's the next size up? What about a 96 x 108? It's slightly larger but can still adjust it. I my runners and a few specialty cloths from www.tableclothfactory.com

Instead of putting one on each table, lay one tablecloth on both tables then cover it with the other one. It won't be as noticeable.

You can always use a runner to cover the seam! Smiley smile

Good idea @Alwshia the runner will cover up the seam. Runners are a big trend right now, I think it will add a beautiful detail to the table.

We do 2 separate tablecloths for a set up like this for a corporate client. It leaves a rather large amount of space in the center. Out of curiosity, why are you doing it that way?

I would think Aleshia's idea is the best solution, using a runner to cover the seam.. Then, you might also consider putting a runner on the left and right ends as well, to create 3 stripes, if you can picture that idea. Might offer more balance to the runner's colors and not look so intentional.

A runner is a good idea... I guess that's probably what I will end up doing... That kind of sucks though because then I have to pay for double the table cloths plus runners... Smiley sad @crystals with our venue we either have to have long rectangle tables or square tables... I don't like the look of the long rectangle ones

You can rent large table cloths or put a flower arrangement in the center.

You could do a table cloth underneath with a layer overtop that's swagged on the ends.

I would have a tablecloth on each individual table and then have a table runner go all the way across and maybe some sort of decor or centerpiece to cover the seam.
