I printed ours at home, 3 days before the wedding. I brought back up ways in case we had to change anything (extra stickers, white out, etc.)

I'm printing mine at home. We're 31 days away. The rsvps are due tomorrow and there are still 40 rsvps missing..so over 100 people unaccounted for. I have a feeling ill be making changes until the very end if I start them now..

Daughter ordered the escort cards to match the rest of the wedding stationery from Zazzle. I hand wrote the names and table numbers on them 3-4 days before the wedding (we needed to drop them off at the venue the night of the rehearsal, 48 hours before the wedding). Of course, the morning before the wedding we heard from a guest that her husband was too ill to attend, but that she was going to bring her daughter instead.... (We were fine with that change, no issue there.) It meant I needed to re-write a couple of cards because we were going to put the daughter with a bunch of cousins rather than with her mom and grandparents. I wrote them up and turned them over to the venue coordinator when we arrived at the venue a few hours before the wedding. No matter what, be prepared and expect last minute changes. That's one of the reasons I think escort cards are SO much better than seating charts -- much easier to make adjustments! Smiley heart

We're doing seating chards rather than escort cards and I'm printing them myself at home. I'll probably print them the week of the wedding just in case and worst case scenario make changes the night before if it's absolutely necessary (hopefully it won't be). If I were to do escort cards, I would still do it the exact same way. Printing from home adds a lot of convenience in last minute changes Smiley smile

Are you just printing on normal computer paper and using word? This is a good idea.

You could definitely go that route! I actually bought a template from Etsy for like $5 and bought some cardstock to use for our menus that I'm printing too. I haven't decided if I'm going to use regular paper or cardstock for the seating chart cards (they'll be in picture frames), so I'll just have to try both and see which turns out better!

We did a seating chart and I purchased a template on Etsy and bought the card stock from Staples and printed me own. You could do the same with escort cards.
