Table assignments?!

Samantha, on November 29, 2019 at 8:24 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13
So, we're having about 200 guests at our wedding, so there will be 34 tables. I'm going to assign guests to tables (not specific seats). What's an affordable way to give guests their table numbers?

We're doing escort cards and we will lay them out on the table in alphabetical order.

I am doing something similar to this. Found this photo on Pinterest.
You can do a list like this and get a board printed on Vista Print. They're inexpensive.

Some people do a seating chart instead of escort cards. Escort cards can sometimes be about $1 a piece. Seating chart could be a large poster size paper for cheaper or some people will write names on a mirror or windows, etc. check out Pinterest.

Seating chart is easiest and also inexpensive (as pictured above).

Thanks everyone! I'm probably going to do a seating chart. But should I put everyone on it, whether they RDVPd or not?

Definitely wait until all the rsvps are in and then only put attendees on the seating chart.

Ok, thanks! That's what I was thinking but I'm doing the planning on my own (with my FH), so I don't want to make any mistakes lol

I did escort cards. We bought a pack of avery tent cards and printed them ourselves. It cost me a total of $14 for the blank cards. Avery has a free online template where you can choose tons of free styles. It was super easy, and also simple to make last minute changes.

You can do it! The hardest part is getting people to respond (at least in my experience). Good luck!!

We are having a seating chart posted that will be visible during cocktail hour. For a higher amount of guests I would recommend 2 copies Smiley smile

Seating chart is definitely the easiest and cheapest way to go.

Table assignments?! 2 Friends of our did it this way for their wedding (sorry it’s blurry, it’s the best I could pull from another pic). They had everyone listed alphabetically and then their table number following their name. They had a total of 20ish tables. I’m still trying to figure out what option we’ll go with for our wedding.
