Table Arrangement

Gwendolyn, on January 17, 2020 at 12:50 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4

We are having a small wedding (18 people, including us and four children). For the dinner reception we have one 16ft. long table that seats 22 (according to the coordinator - picture below). Where should we sit? How would you arrange the guests? (See below for who we have attending, if that helps!)

Guest list: His parents; My mom; My grandparents; My aunt and uncle, their two children (6 &8 yrs); His sister and her two children (2 & 4 yrs); His older cousin and her husband; His aunt and uncle

I would put you two at the end, his parents beside him and your parents beside you. If you are doing a seating chart, put his sister by their parents, making sure her children are with her, then his aunt and uncle, and then cousins. Beside our parents I’d put grandparents, and then your aunt and uncle and their kids.

I am having a small wedding as well. 24 people total which includes us two. We are going to sit right in the middle, our parents right next to us, grandparents in front of us. One of the key things that I did was make sure that the children were at the very end. That way if they really act up their parents can remove them without making it a big deal.

Basically you want to think about the pictures, who do you want to have the closest to you for the pictures.

Thank you! I was thinking that the middle is probably the best but wasn't sure. That's an excellent point that we want to think about the pictures when seating and keeping the kids near the end of the table.

We will definitely make sure the kids are near their parents (with some activity books)! Smiley smile Thank you!
