Sweetheart table trouble

Emina, on May 24, 2018 at 11:15 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
I have basically everything planned besides my sweet heart table. I have no idea what to do there and I am becoming really stressed. Our venue has 3 big windows that are behind us, I’ll add pictures. On all of these windows we will have twinkle lights and draping. The first picture is of the entire room we have booked, the ceilings will already be like that and we will have burgundy organza sashes on the chairs. Behind us, it will look like picture 3. And that’s all I have so far, I ahave no idea what I want to do with my sweetheart table, in my tradition everyone comes to take pictures with the bride and groom at their table, so it has to look nicer

I think something like the picture will be perfect. Get a Mr. and Mrs. sign (personalize it, even!) and then either get some flowers or put your bouquet in a vase. Add a couple small candles, maybe some twinkle lights in front, done!

You don't want to do TOO much- the focus should be on you two, not the table itself.

Hi Emina!! Love the venue and your ideas for decor so far! Sweetheart tables are awesome and really don't need much to make them look good! Simple things like candles, signs, and flowers add a nice touch to the table. You can incorporate the burgundy accents through the flowers! Keeping the burgundy and draping in mind, here are a few ideas:

We just did garland. You don't need anything too fancy, just a version of what you have on the other tables. Def don't overthink it Smiley smile

What's wrong with the table setup in picture #3? I think that's perfect. A cute Mr & Mrs sign, some flowers, and some votive candles. You can maybe add a few more candles and some loose flower petals to that, but you really don't need more than that!

Thank you! And i just feel like when guests come to take pictures with us, I want something to stand out. I was originally thinking to do this, but I don’t know if that’s would look akward in the room

I think that the last one is a bit too much. You are supposed to get up and walk around and go to your guest, not them come to you!

Our sweetheart table looked like the guests' tables as well but our florists had extra large lanterns she put on either side to frame the table.

I think you could definitely do a slightly toned down version of the last pic you uploaded. Like PP said, you'll want to make sure you can easily get around it. Overall, it should be similar to your other decorations and can be more of a statement but I wouldn't overthink it too much!

Personally, I think that's way over the top, and a bit gaudy. Less is more!
